Certification

When hiring any arborist to do inspections or work, always check you are working with a certified arborist. Here are my qualifications.

ISA-Certified Arborist

International certification has enabled me to work as a professional arborist on three different continents. The ISA certification systems aims to keep arborist up to date with all advances within the industry.

European Tree worker

The Tree Worker Certificate is the European recognized arborist qualification. This is a two-year course on all aspects of working in and on trees. I completed my training and passed my exam in in 2015.

TREE SAFETY INSPECTOR

The Tree Safety Inspector is certified to perform tree assessments and recognize a broad range of defects, and hazards as well as pests and diseases.  Is competent in 3 methods of tree assessment:

- Visual Tree Assessment method (VTA).

- Integrated tree anaylsis (IBA)

- Staticcly integrated assessment (SIA) 

As an Inspector, I am also able to make a much more in depth inspection to professionally assess the risk a tree is posing to its surroundings. and produce a report on the findings and outcomeI became a Tree Safety Officer in 2015 and a Tree Safety Inspector in 2017.

 

Forest and nature conservation

I studied at Helicon in Eindhoven in The Netherlands and graduated in 2015 as a skilled Forest and Nature Conservationist.

Fauna Spotter

European Certification to conduct Fauna inventory. Most often a fauna check is performed prior to any works commencing which may affect any protected native flora and fauna.

FLORA EN FAUNA CERTIFICATIONS

.As a Flora- and Fauna Specialist (Levels 1,2 and 3), it is my job to go out into the field prior to the work and make an inventory of any present or prospective plants and wildlife.  Thereafter, I form a plan of action to carry out the work avoiding or compensating any damage to wildlife.  After this, it is my task to translate these actions to the workforce out in the field

 

European Chainsaw certificate

.This course was introduced to reach a continent-wide safety standard in working with chainsaws. The course includes small, medium and large tree felling, and working with tension or storm damaged wood.

Cherry picker licence

IPAF stands for International Powered Access Federation.  This is my cherry picker licence.  I am licensed to operate static boom (1b) and mobile boom(3B).

Crop protection

 This is my licence to use procedures and measures in open nature using both chemical and/or biologic to control or maintain a situation.  I use this to control insect populations and the spread of tree diseases in the City.

IRAta level 1 and 2

I completed my climber training in 2009 and proceeded to Level 2 in 2012
