Inspections

In 2015 I became certified as a Tree Safety Officer, enabling me to carry out visual tree inspections for the City Council.

I perform tree assessments from a visual level (VTA) all the way through to Picus Sonic Tomograph. My assessment work is for street trees, public reserves and playgrounds, and nature areas or forests. Working for council, tree safety, and identifying hazards is essential for a safe urban forest.

During my studies in forest and nature conservation, I learned a great deal about tree disease and decay, I became very interested in pests and diseases and especially fungi that have a relationship with trees.

In 2017 I gained my Certification as a Tree Safety Inspector allowing me to carry out assessments on a much more in-depth level use varying digital assessment apparatus interpreting these results and compiling these into a tree report.
